Active Peace Training for the

Shambhala International Community

Community Peacemaking Using Active Peace Circles

The Shambhala International community has experienced many big challenges in the past few years. As a community member or leader, you can make a difference in how your organization is able to recover its strength, vitality and harmony.
We invite you to learn the Active Peace Circle process to help heal divisions and conflict in your community, with skillful conversations that create deeper understanding, heartfelt connection, strengthened relationships, and new agreements for moving forward.

Shambhalians recently used the Active Peace Circle process to fully understand and repair the harm from a conflict that impacted their community. Here is some of the feedback we received at the end of the process:

“A huge amount of benefit can come from a process like this … in terms of relationship building, learning, and harm repair – naming the harm, naming the needs and naming what can and should be done for accountability.”

“I appreciate the constant willingness to continue to communicate and remain caring of one another.”

“It was extremely important and moving to hear each of the individual accounts of their experience of the incident. It showed how the incident impacted such a range of people on such a deep level.”

“Amazingly thorough exploration of the event/issues, disciplined but with tremendous kindness.”

“Thank you for this rich opportunity to learn with dignity.”

“This was a profound experience for me personally and I greatly appreciate the opportunity to explore the process.”

“I have found the APC process to be extraordinary in its thoroughness and impact. The APC process brings together and enables heartfelt and transformative communication between people with very distinct perspectives on a situation of conflict and harm. It is a process especially well-suited for spiritual communities.”

Please join us in this special offer for the Shambhala Community and become a stronger force for:

  • Strengthening relationships by releasing judgments that create division,
  • Addressing conflict at the root and break cycles of disrespect and violence, and
  • Channeling fear, anger, and despair into loving action.
