Closer Than We Think: How Long-Distance Coaching Works
Did you know you could work with me long distance from the comfort of your own home? Technology is a mixed blessing. The good news is that it can be used to support your personal healing, improve your relationships, and make you a stronger force for positive change in the world.
Regardless of what you’re going through—anxiety, anger, grief, or resentment—we can use technology to get you unstuck!
Here’s how it works when you work with me long distance
We would either use Zoom or the phone. Zoom is an increasingly popular alternative to Skype that is free and opens automatically on your computer or phone. Sessions can be recorded and reviewed later.
I will email you a link and our session would be a simple click away. It’s great to be able to see each other using video, but if it doesn’t work for you to be on a computer, for whatever reason, you can dial the number given and I can still record the session.
We will always start with getting very present and centered, and this is almost as easily done long-distance as in person. For some it may be even easier!
From there the session unfolds based on your needs and goals. If this is our first session, we will establish what those needs and goals are.
Even when working a relationship issue or conflict, the guidance I offer always starts at the individual level (the Beyond Blame Process is a good example).
And whether we meet in personal or long-distance, I’ll give you exercises and resources to work with on your own between sessions.
The beauty of my approach lies in its simplicity. Even nature-based practices can be communicate long distance and done on your own right in your own neighborhood.
