Active Peace Book Group

A Heartful Exploration

Join Scott Brown for a deep dive into the foundations of inner peace,
healthy relationships and regenerative activism at a time when we need them most.

From pandemics to political animosity, climate disruption to new levels of community and family division, the Great Unravelling is upon us. It’s easy to get hooked by judgments, despair, and anger.

It’s all part of a collective Rite of Passage, the shift to life-affirming ways of being and waking up out of the illusion of separateness. And you’re not meant to do it alone.

In this group we will be honest about our tender, vulnerable parts and experiences, while we tap into resources for unwavering courage, resilience, and the joy that springs from a deep sense of connection and aliveness.

This 10 week exploration of  ACTIVE PEACE: A Mindful Path to a Nonviolent World will move you from the psychological roots of separation and fear, to deeper self-awareness and acceptance, and to the lived experience of interbeing with nature and all that is. From this foundation you’ll learn and integrate bedrock skills for transforming conflicts into more authentic relationships and stronger groups, and end up embracing the world and our shared predicament with a fresh, regenerative approach to activism and social change.

Praise for Active Peace: A Mindful Path to a Nonviolent World:

The Active Peace Book Group invited me to explore the core practices and the mindset that makes true relationship possible. I truly feel more connected to myself, my neighbors, the world and the planet with an all encompassing consciousness of awareness. Highly recommended!

Scott has created a group experience that bridges his many years of environmental and social activism with his professional restorative practices and personal growth work. Taking it one chapter at a time, he guided us toward a fuller understanding of how to hold turmoil, repair harm and stay grounded.

This book group is like taking a deep dive into one’s self only to find another world and way of being, surrounded by old friends you didn’t know you had. We connected very deeply while opening up new ways of seeing and being. It is good medicine.

Scott’s skill of helping even the shy amongst us to share ourselves verbally is a superb gift. Scott’s deftness at listening and making sure that the group feels comfortable is beyond compare. The lessons on forgiveness and interconnectedness were music to my ears. The sense of community we built over the 12 weeks was healing balm for my soul. I highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants to feel more connected and resilient.
