Friends,

I don’t want to waste any time in wishing you a strong start to this new year and letting you know how we can collaborate in bringing more peace and sanity into the world in 2018.

There seems to be a lot of agreement that 2017 was a challenging year. So now here we are, just a few steps into a brand new year, and while it may turn out to not be any less challenging, like me, you may be called to meet those challenges head on in ever more creative and constructive ways.

I’m happy to have been blessed with the opportunity to have spent the past several years promoting the principles and practices of Active Peace. It now feels necessary to put them into practice at the community level—ready or not.

There is a tremendous vacuum in our world that can’t be filled by the usual ways of approaching social change–protest, litigation, legislation. The root cause of our collective insanity–the festering wound of the belief in separateness–still awaits healing and the only way that will happen is through active, open, humble engagement with each other in creating the world we want and need in order to survive.

I’m thrilled that a vision and a method for how I can contribute to this in 2018 has evolved. I call it the Call to Active Peace and it starts with two all-day workshops that empower community leaders with the skills and resilience needed to address even the most challenging issues and their root causes.

I wish you all the best in 2018. In the spirit of healing and the longing for life, may we all grow in maturity, compassion, and presence this year.

Update: See the two sampler videos of the Call to Active Peace workshops that happened in January 2019 (Sampler #1 and #2).
